| Formed in East Berlin 1983, originally composed of 9 members then known as styx, now are an acoustic two piece known by their fallowers as the red prince. During a dispute concerning the name change, the two remaining members killed and ate the seven bandmates. The red prince later aquired a loyal fanbase after the bizaare canibalism of the remaining two members. Taking their name from the famed Icelandic cult novelist Bjorne Becelik's short story "drubic de hause" (drunk in hell) in which the author tells the tale of a prince who eats his subjects, bathes in their blood and sleeps in their hallowed corpses.
Having released over nine full length albums and three EP's since 1985 when they took on the monicure red prince, they have been widely praised by critics around the world as redefining music as a whole. |
